The town of Nymburk

Nymburk lies on the river Elbe, in a fertile part of central Bohemia, in altitude of 186 meters and the population is 14 600 inhabitants.

The town was founded in about 1275 by the Czech king Přemysl Otakar II. and during the Middle Ages it was one of the most important towns in the country, endowed with a lot of privileges. Present Nymburk is a modern administrative toen, the centre of The Elbe area. It is a town of culture, verdancy, sports and also a lot of historical sights and monuments.
